Louise was elected to the Parliament of Victoria as the Member for Ripon in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.

Louise is currently the Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Economic Development.

Louise and her partner Stephen currently live in Ararat. Prior to moving to Ararat, Louise and Stephen farmed cereals and oilseeds on their property in Willaura.

Louise attended the University of Melbourne where she studied economics and finance, she also has a Masters of Public Policy from Flinders University. Following university, she went on to work as a fund manager for a large superannuation and life insurance company. From her early career, Louise understands how the economy works, and how it is up to governments to always work hard to keep the economy strong so the private sector can create jobs.

Louise is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Before her election in November 2014, Louise served as President of the East Grampians Health Service, was a director of the Grampians Medicare Local and also a director of Networking Health Victoria. Louise was also Director of the Food and Environment Unit at the Institute of Public Affairs.

Louise became a politician to be a voice for the people of Ripon. Her first goal is always to make certain Ripon’s needs are heard in Spring Street.

Louise understands the need to support local schools and health services, to ensure that young families stay in the region and to keep our local communities growing.

Louise is also passionate about securing local jobs. She continues to support local businesses to attract investment and secure the jobs Ripon needs to keep local communities strong.
