Cindy McLeish was elected as the Member for Seymour at the 2010 Victorian State election.

Cindy grew up on a farm running cattle and sheep in Yea. Her 89 year old father still actively farms on the family property. She attended Melbourne University where she completed a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma of Education. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in counselling and registered as a psychologist. In 2001, Cindy completed an MBA from Melbourne Business School, which she studied part time, whilst juggling work and a family.

Prior to being elected, Cindy was a senior consultant for a leading consultancy firm working in the area of organisational effectiveness and leadership capability. Her clients included companies ranging from family owned businesses, government departments, national and global based firms Cindy was also the CEO of Women’s Golf Victoria for a number of years. 

Having parents who operated their own business, Cindy understands the importance of the small business sector in keeping the local economy strong.
